Find the Physical Therapy clinic that is right for you.

questions to ask before deciding
There are many questions that may help you with choosing a provider. The following examples are important things to consider when making your choice.

  • Will I be treated by more than one therapist?
  • Will I be doing independent exercises every session?
  • Will I be expected to work through the pain?
  • Will my physical therapist be a doctor? How much training do the aides have?
  • More questions...

location equals compliance

Choosing a location may not be as easy as it sounds. There are a variety of settings that may provide the necessary rehabilitation services. Clinics can be in shopping centers, hospitals, medical buildings/ complexes and local neighborhoods. The bottom line is to choose an overall location that is convenient for you. Some patients may consider clinics in shopping centers because;

  • it’s easy to find
  • one stop shop: can take care of many tasks and save on gas
  • ample parking
  • more likely to keep their appointments

other special programs and courses

Other considerations include special programs and/or courses.

  • Pre-operative education and rehab programs
  • Prevention programs (diabetes, heart disease, hypertension/high blood pressure, etc.)
  • Independent exercise program, once therapy is completed
  • Pilates, Yoga, etc.
